numpy.core.defchararray.zfill

numpy.core.defchararray.zfill(a, width)

Return the numeric string left-filled with zeros in a string of length width.

Calls str.zfill element-wise.

Parameters:

a : array-like of str or unicode

width : int

Returns:

out : ndarray

Output array of str or unicode, depending on input type
